An architecturally-designed health and wellness experience is coming to Fitness Playground Marrickville. Yes, Marrickville. Since being named as one of the World’s Top 10 Suburbs, we thought it was only fitting that we should have one of the world’s best gyms, right?
While our new space is pretty “fancy”, it certainly wasn’t always this way.
We actually started as a small Bootcamp in Surry Hills in 2012, and in 2015 we were given the chance to take over “the gym above Banana Joe’s in Marrickville”. FP Marrickville 1.0 was extremely basic, but over the last 6 years we have slowly reinvested what we could.
Fast forward to today, and our 700m² expansion is by far our most impressive Playground, and we are proud that we can give our members access to a completely new level of services, and at no extra cost.
Experience Sunlighten Infrared Saunas, helping with detoxification, anti-aging, pain relief, cardio-vascular health and relaxation.
A pastel wonderland that will make the adults jealous. A haven for the kids with a custom-built sensory wall, pram parking and a private bathroom with change-table.
A powder room with make-up benches, seated ottomans, hair straighteners, blow dryers and bag hooks. As well as self-contained unisex showers & toilets, each with their own basin.
To produce such beauty takes time, but have no fear! We are looking to have her ready on Saturday 23 October.
Short answer is, yes. After covid, we were limited by restrictions which impacted our capacity. These are all but gone. Now, with the new spaces, we increase from 3 studios to 5 and from 90(ish) classes to 160. Our goal is to hit 200 classes in Marrickville alone.
No, the current Gym and Play membership costs will remain the same.
